Safety Guidelines, Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.
Entering Forums will constitute acceptance of the terms of use. If you don't agree to abide by these terms of use, please don't enter our Forums.
Forums Rules
The Forums Service (Forums) owned and operated by Orange Home UK Limited, St James Court, Great Park Road, Almondsbury Park, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 4QJ (Orange) gives the Orange community a place to meet, discuss and share ideas. As in a real community, users of Forums are asked to respect others.
Forums is hosted on computer systems that currently reside in the USA. Therefore data collected at the time of registration for the Forums and during your use of Forums will be collected held and processed in the USA on behalf of Orange by Prospero Technologies LLC and they can only process your personal data on instructions from Orange.
The Forums Rules, which are listed here, are intended to protect Forums users from unfriendly, disrespectful or illegitimate Forum use. Please read all three carefully.
By posting, you agree to the Forums Rules. Orange reserves the right at its sole discretion to remove material from Forums at any time.
1. You must be over 18 to use Forums.
2. Users must not use Forums to harass, threaten or attack anyone or otherwise behave in any way which would cause annoyance or distress to other users. In particular, users must not use Forums for the following purposes:
a. To transmit or knowingly receive content and/or language that is in any way unlawful, threatening, offensive, or in breach of any obligations of confidence. This includes the use of swear words and the use of offensive nicknames.
b. To flood or “spam” Forums or any user who posts in the Forums.
c. To post links to web addresses, except in their user profiles.
d. To provide instructions for illegal or otherwise harmful activities.
e. To transmit or knowingly receive information relating to (or include links to) pornography, pirated software and/or computer games or other counterfeit goods.
f. To collect and/or distribute personal data concerning other users of Forums or Orange members.
g. To impersonate another person, whether a friend, family member, celebrity, Forums monitor, Orange employee or other Forums participant.
h. For the purpose of commercial gain. This includes the transmission of advertisements and any other attempts to generate business from other users of Forums.
i. To post chain letters or pyramid schemes.
Users should not act in any way to disrupt the flow of an ongoing discussion. If a user does not wish to participate in an ongoing discussion, or wishes to discuss a non-related topic, they are requested to begin another message thread or go to the relevant forum. Orange may delete postings that appear irrelevant to the discussion in which they are posted.
Your responsibilities
1. You may be held legally accountable for what you say or do online. In particular, you may be held liable for any defamatory comments, threats and untrue statements or other illegal or fraudulent claims made by you.
2. Your login name to the service must be in accordance with these terms. It may not include words that are racist, profane, crude or otherwise offensive.
3. You may be held accountable for any breach under Copyright Legislation of the rights of a third party if you have not obtained their prior consent to the use of their property
4. You agree and warrant that you will comply with the terms of any agreement required by the owner or licensor of any intellectual property rights as may exist in all software and information you access or post via Forums and to indemnify Orange against any action or cost suffered or incurred by Orange as a result of a breach by you of this term.
Disclaimer
1. Orange does not undertake to monitor every communication or the conduct of every user of the Forums service. Forums monitors may be online from time-to-time to ensure that other users are adhering to the Forums Rules. Any monitoring activity may be undertaken by Orange or its appointed agent, acting on its behalf.
2. Orange will make its best endeavour to promptly edit or remove content which is reported to it, and it agrees based on its sole judgement - is in breach of the Forums Rules, but cannot guarantee to do so.
3. Neither Orange nor its third party contractors will be liable for the content of any material accessed via the Internet or any adverse treatment of any information placed by you anywhere on the Internet or any loss or damage that you may suffer as a result.
4. Orange does not endorse any opinions expressed by other users of Forums.
5. Orange reserves the right at its sole discretion to remove material from Forums at any time.
6. Forums consists of information posted by third parties. As a result, Orange accepts no liability in respect to the accuracy or truthfulness of any advice, information or data posted online or any responsibility for the consequences of your acting in reliance on such information.
7. This disclaimer does exclude liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence.
8. If you fail to observe either the Forums Rules or Orange's Conditions of Membership at any time, Orange reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude you (either temporarily or permanently) from Forums depending on the nature and severity of your breach.
9. Orange reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny access to Forums for repeated or serious breaches of the Forums Rules or Orange's Acceptable Use policy.
10. Upon 30 (thirty) days notice, Orange reserves the right to change the Forums Rules at any time and will post details and notification of any such changes online.
By accepting the Forums Rules you agree that Orange may release your information (both present and past) to the relevant authorities where Orange believes that you have breached the Forums Rules or have used Forums to commit unlawful acts. We also reserve the right to disclose your personal information where required to do so by law and where we deem it appropriate in response to complaints of a substantial nature.
Privacy Notice
All Users are responsible for the safety of their personal information. Orange recommends that Users do not disclose their name, address, email address, telephone number or other personal information online.
